kageyama: discalimer, this entire post will be 80% unfortunate case of kageyama brainrot lol. HE'S EVERYTHING TO ME and his awkward and aggressive singing... he's so CUTE i die. cannot believe hq presented me with a charac who:
1) is a hardworking genius who is overly ambitious but is also stupid and a loser and understands like... zero things about himself
2) is a socially inept person who struggles with establishing and maintaining relationships
3) accidentally alienated everyone in his life due to his high ambition and non-existent people-skills and as a result has trust issues
4) is surprisingly nice and earnest and endearing and tries really hard to get along with his new friends (method-wise he doesn't always succeed i.e. kageyamas_terrifying_smile_jpg, BUT IT'S OKAY, WE CAN ALL TELL YOU'RE TRYING YOUR BEST BBY AND THAT'S ALL THAT MATTERS <33)
5) is a *repressed gay person
...what was i supposed to do NOT?? SON-IFY HIM?? WHEN HE WAS SO OBVIOUSLY CREATED FOR ME, PERSONALLY??
*okay so yeah i guess this one isn't "confirmed" or whatever 🙄 but repressed gays recognize repressed gays what else can i say. and just think about it; he alone, is the source of like.... 70% of hq's homoeroticism lol, like the things he says to hinata are SO FUNNY?? "you can fly higher".... "as long as i'm here you're invincible".... umm sure whatever u say sweetie but also You Are Gay. let me paraphrase a couple of tweets from twitter user reigbastard (aka me): im convinced that bc he has no idea how to talk to ppl he just uses movies to observe how to do it and memorizes those cheesy pre-battle speeches from braveheart or whatever..... guy thinks talking like he is the commander of an army in a blockbuster is the pinnacle of romance.

the way he grows to care so deeply for karasuno as a team and the team grows to care just as deeply for him in return MAKES ME SO SAD... he was all alone after the loss of his grandfather and like,, his entire middle school volleyball team turning away from him at the same time lol, so it was so so important that he found karasuno T____T AN ENTIRE TEAM OF PEOPLE WHO SUPPORTS HIM AND LOVES HIM!! sobs and cries and vomits and doesn't stop

noya: short king and funky little man <33 the light of my life <33 he's so COOL, you know that one nationals chapter where noya does an awesome save and someone from karasuno, i forget who, says "thanks" and noya does this serious-faced thumbs up and hoshiumi and hirugami stare in awe and go "WHAT THE HECK?! HOW IS KARASUNO'S LIBERO THAT DANG COOL?!" and then noya's serious thumbs up just becomes a Super Cool Thing To Do at their team.... ME. like being cool is pretty much his role in the series lol, that and having the back of the team (which also makes him a Cool Senpai). also he's just SO CUTE aaahhh T____T wanna put him in my pocket and then he could yell and scream all he wanted and i wouldn't even mind

it's funny bc p much everyone expected him to go pro after high school because Why Wouldn't He. it just seemed like such a given thing, but then PLOTTWIST!! he went fishing in italy lmao. and ykw that's such a noya thing to do, why the fuck wouldn't he pursue the fishing minigame lifestyle?? he def has a women love me, fish fear me hat lol.
as funny as fisherman noya is, i kinda do wish he'd gone pro tho, like he's such an amazing player, he could've probably become one of the best liberos in japan if he'd kept at it :') yeah yeah the point is that noya is a Girlboss who does whatever he wants regardless of whether he's good at it or not, great mindset etc etc BUT PRO-VOLLEYBALLPLAYER NOYA IS SOMETHING THAT CAN BE SO PERSONAL... OLYMPICS PLAYER NOYA.... head in hands
it IS noya we're talking about so he might return to volleyball once he gets bored of fishing post-canon?? i dont think it would be that out there lol, ofc it becomes more difficult to become an athlete the older you get (i think?? idk do i seem like someone who knows anything about sports) but, once again, it IS noya we're talking about. he'll find a way <3
hinata: short king and funky little man part two. he's so cute and funny but ALSO (often overlooked) terrifying and determined?? come onn people, it's time to end the Hinata Is A Sweet Angel Who Can Do No Wrong narrative bc he IS sweet and nice but ppl constantly overlook like... the entire other half of his personality lmao. hinata is Not just an angel child who is loved by everyone HE'S SCARY!!! the rate he improves at is absolutely insane he is INSANE. he's CRAZY. also he's so intelligent when it comes to volleyball, i think both he and kageyama are both so intelligent they'd be p academically good if it wasn't for the fact that they had volleybal tunnelvision lol. could he improve at a concerning level and get to where he is by being a smiling ray of sunshine and sweet little boyo NO OF COURSE NOT
speaking of, soz to talk about kageyama again but let's ALSO end the kageyama is too mean to hinata narrative, AS IF HINATA DOESN'T GIVE AS GOOD AS HE GETS?? hinata "are you mean or are you just stupid" shouyou??? hinata "this is why you don't have friends" shouyou???? HELLO put some respect on his name, do him justice come onnnn he's perfectly capable of bullying kageyama as much as kageyama bullies hinata, if not he's even more capable bc everyone knows kageyama only has enough creativity to come up with the grand total of one (1) insult. he's a savage [noise music]
tsukishima: his (plus yachi's and kageyama's) character arc is my favourite in the entire show, he's just... head in hands. him getting hooked on volleyball in s3 is one of my favourite scenes in the entire series, GOD its so rewarding and touching lol. also i love his relationship with his brother and with yamaguchi

so noya did not go pro but TSUKKI DID!!! such an unexpected-pleasant surprise and i could think of nothing more fitting?? tsukki's growth from "it's just a club" to having his "hooked on volleyball" moment in the shiratorizawa match, and knowing he chose to go pro in college... volleyball became so important to him T___T 3/4 PRO VOLLEYBALLPLAYERS FROM THE FIRST YEAR LINE-UP!!! they are kwazy and insan

DYNAMICS 🧡
karasuno seniors: i will love the relationship between them forever and ever. there's so many Things!! being together for 2-3 years and experiencing the karasuno team at its lowest... inspiring tanaka (in his Rebellious Delinguent Era mind) to take volleyball seriously.... daichi, suga and asahi seeing the random guy who always watches karasuno's games, thinking "he wont call us fallen crows ever again".... all four seniors deciding to stay with the team after the interhighs because they love the team and want to go to the spring tournament with it...THE PILLARS OF KARASUNO <333 every frame with the seniors make me so emotional, they really have such a special relationship and the fact that karasuno managed to get far so far in their time of being on the team must have been so important to them
random trivia time: daichi, suga and asahi have the jersey numbers 1-3 because daichi is usually the first one to touch the ball when it's passed over to their court, suga is number two bc he's the setter, and asahi is number three bc he's the last one to touch the ball when he passes the ball back to the other side of the court. THEY'RE A SET!!! shimizu as honorary zero bc she is their foundation and they would crumble and die without her lol
i think i'll always be a little bummed that we'll never get to see the the first and second years as second and third years BUT i'm also very happy and grateful that the only karasuno lineup we'll ever know is the one with daichi, suga, asahi and shimizu. there's something so neat about that. let me pull up the top ten kagayama tobio moments moment where he goes "but i wanted to go further with this team"... THIS TEAM..... the second and first years will undoubtedly love their new teams but i dont think there'll ever be a team that's as influential and character building for the first years as this specific karasuno lineup with daichi, suga, asahi and shimizu
team captains: i'm so fond of all the major team captains in the show, and i want to see them all interact. quick rundown: daichi (SIMPLE AND STRONG <3), oikawa, bokuto, kuroo, kita and ushijima. now, i think if they were to form a team together kita, captain of all captains, would be the team cap, and daichi would be vice, i dont think anything else would work lol. the others are simply too chaotic to take on that responsibility; not that the others aren't good captains (i hesitate to call bokuto a good captain lolol and i say this with love, and maybe ushijima bc he apparently sleeps with a volleyball and reads the ads in magazines?? but i think that says enough??), but i think in the face of kita (CAPTAIN OF ALL CAPTAINS) and daichi (SIMPLE AND STRONG) what little maturity the other captains have just... evaporates into thin air
karasuno first years: VERY IMPORTANT. i get emotional just thinking about them and how they're hinata's post-timeskip lockscreen TT___TT they're all so important to me as individual characters but their relationship with e/o ....Friendship !! the ways they change and influence each other's growth.... kags being the youngest and hinata being the oldest.... tsukkiyama having known e/o since childhood but only rly gaining a level of partnership that's equal over the course of their first year as teammates versus kagehina who only recently got acquainted with e/o but instantly gain that connection that ppl who have been friends for as long as tsukkiyama have. yachi coming into herself (one of my favourite character arcs!!) bc she joined the volleyball club and met the team, her friendship with kagehina, her really REALLY wanting them to make up after their s2 fight, her helping kags practice. hinayama going to the shrine together to wish for victory at nationals, hinata asking kags if he wants to come or nah and kags responding with "nah." and hinata just THROWING HIS PHONE IN A FIT. NATIONALS TSUKKIYAMA yk the karasuno nekoma match YOU KNOW. and like every scene with the first year boys hanging out in the onsen post-nationals match lol. tsukkikage's relationship, tbh i hesitate to call them friends during their first year but they are def friends in their third year, why else would they agree to take that picture and allow hinata to make it his lockscreen, there is just no way. and thinking about them as third years makes me even more emotional, THEY ARE THE ELDEST... THE BIG KIDS.... PPL CALL THEM SENPAI??? thingken about how the other students talk about them and refer to them when they pass them in the hallway?? that's the captain of the volleyball team... that's the third year freak duo… LIKE.... im so sad. they are everything
tsukki and kuroo (and bokuto): i love a good chaotic uncle duo and their embarassed nephew. tsukki as kuroo and bokuto's unwilling student is just good and funny, their personalities are pure gold together [too much energy + too much energy + leave me alone]. karasuno is situated so far from nekoma and fukurodani - kuroo and bokuto see each other regularly and can keep tabs on e/o, but they only see tsukki a few times a year, so each time they meet it's like this thing where tsukki has just improved by miles?? obv it goes both ways, but kuroo and bokuto seeing tsukki's insane growth is different from tsukki noticing how kuroo and bokuto have improved because they have a senpais/student relationship.
MANGA SPOILERS
one of my favourite moments during the nekoma karasuno match is kuroo's reaction to how much tsukki has grown as a blocker (and also tsukki getting pissed bc kuroo is a really annoying blocker himself lol). smth about a student using things their teacher has taught them against the teacher and succeeding?? it's just fun to see them have the time of their LIVES playing against e/o
the tanakas (and noya): saeko.... loml <3 she's so hot and cool, yk that one scene where she arrives at the inarizaki match with her taiko group and hinata and noya are clutching their chests like "she's so cool >___<"... ME AGAIN. also she is def yachi's lesbian awakening. i love her relationship with ryu, he's usually so abrasive and has to be reined in by daichi so it's so much fun to see how the tanakas interact - she's just as abrasive and loud as he is and suddenly its ryu who is super embarassed when she's being affectionate towards him :')
also sidenote can we just talk really quick about how noya, hinata and kageyama all refer to her as nee-san/big sis??? and how she calls a lot of the first years by their first name??? *gets emotional over 2d characters for the 500th time*.
anyway the tanakas are fun and are very near and dear to my heart. if you've watched the vs failing grades ova (which u should if u havent, i was scream-laughing over the wig scene) you'd know we get to see a bit more of ryu and saeko's relationship, and idk i think that's neat. ryu's very devoted to the team and she gets that and has his back. her showing up at every game and becoming a main [audience that's there for exposition purposes so the viewers understand whats going on in the game] cast member so she can support ryu has me in tears. ESPECIALLY @ the inarizaki game, where inarizaki had a whole ass marching band and daichi was fighting for his life trying to speak over the music, and then in comes tanaka saeko with a taiko group and KILLS IT?? and then [light manga spoilers] they continue showing up for the rest of karasuno's the games at nationals..... @ryu give my your sister rn. and her tearing up over ryu's insane inarizaki game cross shot... she loves her baby brother sm!!
now to the (noya)... its v subtle but noya and ryu are besties and partners in crime so i rly love how noya is the only person on the team (apart from kags and hina bc she gave them a ride to tokyo) to call saeko nee-san/big sis,, noya has prolly been at the tanakas' house to hang out with ryu multiple times and met saeko, i think that's a rly neat detail.
oikawa, iwaizumi and kageyama: they have an interesting relationship?? iwaoi are childhood friends, oikawa and kageyama are rivals (tho kageyama doesn't actually.. realize it at first?? while oikawa is hyperaware of it) BUT WHAT ABOUT KAGS AND IWA??? anyone??? PERSONAL HC THAT IM VERY FOND OF is iwaizumi secretly being fond of kageyama, and tbh i dont think its that far out there to think that iwa has some sort of soft spot for him because 1) they used to be teammates and 2) bc he stopped oikawa from beating the crap out of him so maybe he feels a little guilty on behalf of oikawa or a bit protective over kageyama. idk, i really like the interpersonal relationships between the three of them, they are very complex and tasty
the imaginary relationship between kageyama and natsu: okay so we never actually see this one play out at any point in time but i dont think its that out there?? kagehina are Best Friends (i'd argue) and they've probably been at each other's houses a few times over the course of their three years as high school volleyball partners. but regardless of its validity, its the Idea itself of kageyama and natsu interactions that just really butters my eggroll. kageyama's face canonically makes children cry because he's scary looking which is so funny to me, and i can't really imagine him being all that fond of children anyways?? plus he has always been the youngest - he's the smallest in his family, at Kitagawa Daiichi he was the young and little genius setter no one liked lol and at Karasuno he's also the smallest first year in terms of age. so kageyama and natsu having a rare big brother/little sister dynamic where natsu is very fond of kags and kags is very indulgent towards natsu is something that can be so personal T____T

kagehina: yeah yeah it's basic or whatever, that's because I'M BASIC and they're objectively Just Good and Neat!! one might even say they're soulmates?? i almost never gravitate towards the main pairing in a fandom (which i feel like will be pretty obvious @ one glance at all the other ships i like) so this was a pleasant surprise for me!! there's just soo many things to love about them: rivals, partners, dumb and dumber, finding e/o at just the right time, helping e/o grow etc etcspecific thingz i enjoy about them
did everyone a favor and put this section in a collapsible bc it got way too long and ship manifesto-y and i am once again embarrassing myself with how much thought i put into things
kageyama's first real friend is hinata: kageyama was always too focused on playing ball to want to make friends for most of his life lol, so he's just been... Alone?? for a large part of his life? which i think maybe he was fine with it bc he always had his grandfather but then [redacted] happened which left him Truly All Alone and sad and bitter </3 i think if he'd had anyone on his side at this time of his life his ambition and drive wouldn't have caused him to push all his teammates away from him, which is why oikage's relationship is so fascinating to me; oikawa could've prolly turned out similar to kageyama if iwaizumi hadn't been there for him but anyways
Fighting Strengthened Our Bond trope: the whole s2 fight arc is very important to me, and i think it says a lot about their relationship and about them both as individual characs. hinata wants to constantly evolve - he's behind everyone else bc he never had any technique whatsoever before high school and the freak attack is the only thing he's got going for him. when it turns out to not be the unstoppable power move everyone initially thought it was he (in his head) becomes dispensable which is his Biggest Fear. kags wants everything to remain the same because things are finally working for him - his team trusts him and he doesn't want to change that dynamic and potentially ruin everything. so like, when kags and hinata become partners the Culmination of these two perspectives were bound to happen yk, but that doesn't make it any less sad. hinata even cries on his way home post-kageyama-fight ;-;
i think post-fight is the first time he words how important his partnership with kageyama is ("it's not that he was the first friend i made, he was a partner"). i love this line bc 1) for kageyama hinata is his actual first friend ever since the junior high Incident - hinata coming into kag's life at the time that he did is just very significant. 2) it illustrates how it was just as significant that kageyama found hinata at the time that he did. in junior high hinata had no one to toss for him, like he wasn't lonely in the sense that he had no friends like kageyama was, but he was lonely in the sense that he had no one to do the thing he enjoys the most with. and then in comes kageyama, his very first volleyball partner and they just Work so well with e/o as if they've known e/o their whole lives
and then both of them going on their own little quests to better themselves and grow...!!!! i esp love how hard kageyama tries at learning the new special toss so he can help hinata. he literally asks oikawa for help, like that's how u how much he's willing to put into this lol. i got so emotional when they finally succeeded in doing the new quick attack for the first time, like man!!! all their hard work paid off!! the fight was a hurdle they had to overcome etc etc
"did you see that kageyama?" this line actually hurts me, like it HURTS ME. hinata going "did u see that" to kags every time he does something cool and kags pulling a I Do Not See every time, idk it makes me laugh and it's so cute. also it rly shows how much kags' opinion matters to hinata, not only bc he looks up to him as a volleyball plaer, but also (i think) bc kags was the one who convinced hinata that being a decoy is actually super cool and not lame at all. also in the same lane, hinata praising kageyama after they nail their first Upgraded Freak Attack and kageyama having no idea what to do with himself..... A is open with affections and B gets easily flustered <33 on a more Character Study level, i think hinata being so open with his admiration and affection is very good for kageyama
self acceptance: already mentioned how kags convinces hinata being a decoy is cool and crucial for the team (also @ that one scene in the jackadlers game.... iykyk) , but it goes both ways!! hinata redefines the whole king title and helps kageyama reclaim it :(
their sillay and goofy competitions: i need them to keep going. and minor time skip spoilers, i think its so cute that they still keep track, even when its been years since they've seen each other. its just a small way of always keeping the other in mind, sort of like a "ohh A would really like this song, A would think this is funny" but instead its like "i am now one step closer to beating my arch nemesis" even though they aren't really arch nemesises or whatever its called in plural
rio/olympics 2016 arc angst: i really do love a good "everybody's running ahead, why am i still here?" moment and kagehina really have that going for them as in its mostly hinata feeling like he is falling behind kageyama, who to be fair is a genius so. BUT i think the thing about kghn is that hinata may be feeling that way but kags has also made it clear that he will be waiting for him on the world stage so it's like "all my life i've been chasing you" versus "i'll be waiting for you". good soup.
anyway, manga spoilers; hinata in rio, seeing kageyama play for the olympics on some big billboard, while he is on his bike... 1) parallels !!! that was the exact same way hinata got interested in volleyball + that one scene where hinata sees himself on yacchi's poster, from an outsider perspective and actually feels like he has Made It. 2) kageyama is at the olympics as a nineteen year old, he got a service ace and it's just A Lot. "wow he has come so far, I must work hard to catch up, can i catch up?? we're in the same country for the first time in a year and i feel farther apart from him than i ever have...". from kageyama's side i could see the angst veering towards "why didnt he come to see any of my games" territory, but there's just lots of potential?? just a general sense of them being in the same space, both of them knowing it, and yet not doing anything about it. seeing traces of each other everywhere (once again reminding everyone of hinata's homescreen and also the fact that his phone cover is a milkbox, soz to put on my #tinhat but kageyama got him that. or hinata got it with kageyama in mind. actually i think the latter is more likely lol), but being unwilling to be the first one to reach out
revisiting Origins: BOTH OF THEM GOING BACK TO THEIR FIRST YEAR JERSEY NUMBERS FOR THE OLYMPICS... KARASUNO'S NINE AND TEN.... KARASUNO'S FREAK DUO *cries and cries and never stops*.
kurodai: would've hooked up @ training camp if it wasn't for the fact that kuroo is a loser and daichi is as dense as a rock <3 i love them!! i like when they're soft and kuroo is a gremlin and daichi is fondly Exhausted (KUROO WOULD TOTALLY SERENADE HIM WITH "country boyyy i love uuuu blegh" like at least once a week). but what really Speaks to me about them is how passive aggressive they can be towards e/o lmao, LIKE every time they shake hands and they do that terrifying fake ass smile and are like "good luck ^_^" and you just KNOW they're thinking smth along the lines of "can't stand her fake ass".... IT'S SO FUNNY??? THEY'RE SO FUNNY. basically my love for kurodai boils down to me liking friendly but nonetheless ferocious competition lolol. them Asserting their dominance pre-game, i.e. "i'm gonna push ur face in the dust"-isms, having an INSANE GAME where they go all out and then having the winner duck under the net and hug the loser, i.e. "you did well"-isms. i also think it's fun to imagine them in a less Friendly setting where they'd be more antagonistic towards e/o because nothing goes as hard as two characs who communicate in fake and insincere niceties. cutthroat law school rivals kurodai au WHEN
yakunoya: short kings who endlessly admire and appreciate each others' skills <3 they're just so supportive of each other and they look up to the other so much, it's like... mutual hero worship lol. noya being all over the place and overly excited and yaku following him around, making sure he doesn't cause any trouble, exasperated but In Lové. they make me very happy, but unfort!! they are also extremely Rare... please someone Do Something with yakunoya, i am FAMISHED i am STARVING i Need more yakunoya content rn or else i will die.
atsukita: i cant realistically see them date in high school bc i just can't imagine kita wanting to do that lmao. i think even if he'd liked atsumu he wouldn't want to pursue a relationship with him for fear of holding him back (he keeps saying he's a mortal while atsumu and his other teammates are monsters). like even if atsumu confessed to him he'd gently reject him and atsumu would be like "oh... that's okay, it wasn't that big of a deal hahAHA anyways 🤘" i.e. basically that one meme that's like "i might not show it but ya boy goin thru a lot right now". i can imagine them meeting again years down the line and giving it a shot when they are both in v different headspaces. i like them, not just bc i like kita, as always this is about Dynamix:
1) atsumu being eager to please kita and being OVERJOYED whenever kita indulges him and his dumb headassery and kita, who usually is stern, is patient and indulgent when it comes to him
2) kita having a clear cut, no nonsense routine and atsumu messing it up <3
3) the caring nuances of their relationship; kita's care package for atsumu and the genuine pride kita feels towards atsumu
atsukage: when some random guy you met two days ago calls you a goody2shoes and it causes you to spiral into an existential crisis 😔 TRULY do not understand why they aren't more popular, like thematically atsukage are good: they're incredibly similar as characs + they've both been deemed arrogant and kind of sucky by their teammates, but atsumu always had osamu so others' opinions never really mattered to him, while kageyama didn't have anyone except his own Emotional Repression. There's So Much In There Alone?? the fact that atsumu is the cataclyst for a very important pat of kageyama's character growth?? and THEY'RE SO FUNNY TGT, quoting myself again:

and then they do that a few times and then atsumu is like “this boy is so boring i want him”
what do you MEAN ATSUKAGE IS A RAREPAIR T___T their relationship dynamic is also fun, in MY mind it's just atsumu being a Simp who tries out nicknames and is grossly into pda and is the more possessive person in the relationship while kageyama is just chilling and lets him do whatever he wants. atsumu loves openly while kageyama struggles more with being vulnerable but expresses his love through subtle actions and also he is INDULGENT (most important part)
atsukagehina: there isn't much content for them and what little there is is usually pwp which isn't rly my jam and the dynamic is usually atsukage fighting over hinata and hinata going "i have two hands... 🥵💦" and he's also always pro WHORE which is cool but i need variation. besides they rarely have atsukage in the Feelings department it's more like atsuhina and kagehina, and then the atsukage is only present bc they're fucking idk. so hear me out.... atsumu and hinata being Simps while kageyama is just chilling part two... number one kageyama stan is once again being completely unsubtle with how much they want people to dote on kageyama. but he deserves an insane amount of doting to make up for idek how many years of being on his own <33 alternatively kagehina having a very on brand competition for atsumu is really funny too?? also huge fan of atsumu developing a crush on kageyama at all-japan youth camp, then going to nationals to compete and leaving with an embarassing crush on kageyama AND hinata. i also think the atsukage competing for hinata narrative is fine but only when they realize like halfway through that they actually r in love with EACH OTHER too. anyway, excited for atsukagehina week, hoping for a lot of good content

iwaoi: already mentioned this when i was spewing sappy shit about kageyama for the 50th time but i just like that they've always had e/o. iwaizumi is never afriad to call oikawa out on his bullshit and oikawa holds iwaizumi's advice in high regard. iwaizumi's name literally means rock so like... i feel like that says enough about the nature of their relationship lmao. my favourite iwaoi dynamic is pining!oikawa. in terms of the Feelings Realization i just think iwa would be very rational and self-assured about the whole thing, like in my head he never stops being sturdy and reliable, even in regards of romantic feelings. whereas i feel like oikawa would get in his head about his feelings for iwaizumi, he would PINE. [tldr;] iwaizumi's oh moment is like "oh. of course." and oikawa's is like "oh. [PANIK]"
tsukkiyama: the growth of their relationship... yams going from following tsukki around to walking next to him T____T already mentioned this but the contrast between the recently acquainted kagehina who instantly gain the connection of long time friends, and childhood friends tsukkiyama who learn new crucial sides to e/o years into their friendship.... tsukki realizing that yams has grown and Will call him out on his bs when he's being stupid, and yams' words being those to spur tsukki into taking volleyball more seriously. tsukki genuinely growing to admire yams' dedication to grow.... MAN. also already mentioned this but That Part of the nekoma match (or kamomedai, actually i can't rmbr now hhhsd), head in hands. i really should get to checking out some more tsukkiyama content
kiyoyachi: i adore their mentor/mentee friendship which slowly veers into a genuine friendship. i love that they have a different dynamic when it's just the two of them - yachi being less on edge and shimizu being a little goofy and sillay (though i imagine she's also a lot more open around the other seniors). i cant imagine them dating in high school tho, since they're @ such different stages. i think yachi would have a crush on shimizu while shimizu was still a student at karasuno but not acting upon it bc She Is Yachi (and shimizu would've gently rejected her if she had) and then having them meet years down the line, cue the second-chance-ish romance. when they're older i think their dynamic would be similar but without the awkward gap of lack of experience and stuff... being repetitive and saying that i really should get to checking out some more kiyoyachi content
tanakiyo: love a guy who loves his wife dynamic, like i'm genuinely happy for them <3 tanaka won haikyuu <3 i guess sometimes it does pay off to be a simp, at least as long as u are the chad "respect women" tanaka and not the virgin "if she breathes she's a thot" terushima
