i'd like to start posting on here again because it was, dare i say it, fun? i think i got caught up in things having to be nice and every post had to be unique and interesting, and then i just sort of put off posting and now it's been three months or something. so i'm gonna Stop doing that and start posting about whatever i want. do Not expect this journal to be interesting or groundbreaking or make any sense whatsoever?? not that anyone expected that i think lol. i might post a music analysis every once in a while if the mood strikes but i'll mostly just be dumb and self-indulgent

random life updates:

• i am now a fifth semester uni student?? crazy how the world works sometimes *___* i'm starting my ba project which in correct english terminology ig would be called my thesis? idk anyway it's stressing me out a little bit but it's fine haha. ha i have no idea what i want to write about yet and i have to turn in an outline in like half a month ha.
• started on my minor, so lots of new people which is um stressful. but it's been okay so far, though i have no idea who... 80% of the ppl in my class are lol. maybe that is for the better
• i'm seeing some old high school friends regularly!! we started doing volunteer work at the same place. and if we're lucky we'll pass each other @ the IT campus lol
• SPEAKING OF IT CAMPUS... i have to b there for my bachelor thesis course this semester and man... Y'ALL LIVE LIKE THIS?? my god, the building is impossible to navigate and more importantly IT'S BORING AND UGLY
• a paper /i/ wrote might be published in a real academic journal?? it's just a journal by and for the english department at my uni that publihes exam papers but still!! ngl i'm v proud of myself for that one (also i owe my life to that journal. i shudder to think about where would i b without all the excellent example papers. kwazy to think about how i might be saving some forth sem linguistics student with my paper next year)
• also attending a meeting @ uni where i have to present said paper?? i'm shit at presenting so that will be an Experience hahA guess we'll see how it goes
• was a research ass(istant) at Nation's scariest haunted house attraction for thesis purposes. IT WAS A FUN TIME!! got to talk to the actors and lots of guests and i got to wear a lab coat and got one of those card things you hang around your neck that has your name and position. i also got to try the attraction for free after all the guests had left and man.. being chased by a man in a bloody pigmask wielding a chainsaw is Something Else i can tell you that. thank you to research ass(sistant) friends who went through with me and MY PROF WHO WE MANAGED TO CONVINCE TO GO WITH US!! tbh i'm so glad we convinced him to go with us, the amount of times i yelled at him to do something or help us... i guess i rely on people i perceive as the Adult when i'm unsure a lot more than i thought Huh... my toxic trait
• i am following gp999 religiously. i'll probably make a post about all of my thots (or not?? i dont even know at this point, anyway i wish i had never started watching it <3)
• took up piano classes again for the first time since uhhh i wanna say 2015? it's been fun so far!! i always feel like i'm sucky and miles behind the level i should be at, so it's been affirming to have an actual classical pianist (ig Technically i too, am a classical pianist???? or at least classicaly trained wowee) tell my i'm good lol. apparently the only thing that fuels me is others' constant validation. i'm currently learning this piece - really fun to play but after a while my right hand starts to hurt bc Just Small Hands Things. also i'm relearning this chopin prelude which is a lot less Gotta Go Fast and a lot more Sad Person Stares Somberly Into The Distance
• visited my acnh island for the first time in months a few days ago and MAN... 1) @ villagers i'm sorry for leaving for three months T___T i hope you'll forgive me, especially croque and zucker MY SONS <33 2) how do people finish their islands... like actually?? i dont think i'll ever finish mine lol
• i work a ridiculous amount of jobs currently (FOUR) bc most of it is volunteer stuff that's only a few hours every week/every other week. Must admit that it was partly bc of boredom during the summer vacation but mostly bc i was struck by the sudden overwhelming stress of future employment. the jobs are all fun though!! (except for the only job i actually get paid for. capitalism really IS the root of all evil)
• it's getting rly cold over here and Just Scandinavia Things means the days are getting extremely short whoops seasonal depression yayay so excited... T___T

other things that i dont think really fall in under the life update category:

• school and work and piano and... gp999... sigh... have sort of taken over my life as of recently AND I REALLY MISS PLAYING FE3H :(( i'm in the middle of a gd run too... gd girls... claude... cyril... i will get back 2 u soon, i pwomise <3 i think i'm right at the ferdinand bridge showdown? man. sorry ferdie </3
• i really wanna do another content review/media round up, but only for the stuff i actually wanna talk about lol so i'll hopefully be churning that out soon!!
• been listening to CINEMA, Jubilee, and I Know nonstop this month... i adore hush (girlboss song) and posing for cars (like a four minute long guitar solo and its awesome) and hot air balloon (3:21 and onwards... loml)
• i tried using the cut tag again, and it better have worked this time or else i'll be really angry
